Meet the author

Welcome to the author.

Paul Baron started writing late in his career. Having set up an accountancy practice, training company and property portfolio business, he wanted to repay society for the fortunate life he had led. Paul then set about setting up sustainable charitable projects,  working with UNICEF and the Ministry of Education in Africa and India, assisting street children. Similarly in Eastern Europe Paul worked with ‘The Princes Trust’  assisting orphanages and marginalised UK residents.

In recognition of his work, Paul was awarded the coveted ‘Charitable Times’ Outstanding Individual Contribution award and also awarded an MBE by the late Queen of England for his work with vulnerable children.

However, a passion for storytelling started much earlier on, when he would put his children to bed. His eldest son always a story about James Bond, his youngest daughter always a story about boarding school and his eldest daughter any story involving the colour pink! Paul lives near Glastonbury, Somerset (the supposed burial place of King Arthur), with his wife and three children and their partners and of course their three dogs.

The ingredients were there, a passion for storytelling, living near Glastonbury a town steeped in the King Arthur legend (there is even a pub named after King Arthur!) and his experience working with vulnerable children, all contributed to Paul’s first book.
